The lobes of the brain.
Coronal section brain. Horizontal cuts are made as if youwere slicing a hamburger bun or bagel. It is one of the three main planes of the body used to describe the location of body parts in relation to each other axis. A coronal plane also known as the frontal plane is any vertical plane that divides the body into ventral and dorsal belly and back sections.
The coronal plane is also called thefrontal plane. Neuroanatomy coronal brain slices with labels. Slices of the brain taken in the coronal plane are similarto the slices from a loaf of bread.
The lateral and the third ventricles. Namely in those sections we can see. Neuroanatomy coronal brain slices with labels.
The coronal sections of the brain are very important for the clinician because in those sections you can see some of the most important structures of the brain. Fig 3d indicates the order of the following coronal sections through the brain figures 3e 3n. Recall that the genu can be easily identified because it is the part of the internal capsule that is closest to the midline.
