Section 1 14th Amendment
All persons born or naturalized in the united states and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the united states and of the state wherein they reside.

However the fourteenth amendment contains four other sections. The 14th amendment changed a portion of article i section 2.
Section two deals with the apportionment of representatives to congress. The citizenship of african americans was thereby established and the effect of the dred scott case was overcome.

A portion of the 14th amendment was changed by the 26th amendment section 1 all persons born or naturalized in the united states and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the united states and of the state wherein they reside.
