Tsca Section 6
Tsca section 12 outlines export notification requirements for any person who exports or intends to export a chemical substance or mixture subject to certain tsca regulations.
Tsca section 6. Section 6 of the toxic substances control act tsca contains import and export requirements applicable to some specific chemicals. District court for the northern district of california case seeking a rulemaking under section 6 of the toxic substances control act tsca to prohibit the addition of fluoridation chemicals to drinking water supplies. Tsca section 9 governs the relationship of tsca to other federal laws. In the federal register of july 29 2019 epa proposed a rule concerning certain persistent bioaccumulative and toxic chemicals identified pursuant to section 6 h of the toxic substances control act tsca. Read the press release.
Under section 6 a of tsca if epa makes a determination that a chemical substance presents an unreasonable risk of injury to health or the environment under the conditions of use epa must promulgate a rule imposing restrictions so that the substance no longer presents an unreasonable risk. See 40 cfr part 761 for regulations on the import or export of pcbs. On march 15 2019 epa issued a final rule under section 6 of tsca to address the unreasonable risks presented by methylene chloride in paint and coating removal for consumer use.
