C Section Incision Smell
It was 3 weeks ago yesterday and for the past couple days its been producing sort of a vag smell.
C section incision smell. Signs of infection include fatigue and chills. Maybe leave to air for 5 10 minutes if not oozing then re dress the wound if its dressed. You may even be picking up unpleasant odors from your vagina.
Try using an over the counter fungus cream for a couple of days and see if it helps. Also i was lucky enough to get a mommy apron after having my son and the incision is in the crease of it causing the incision to hold. If its not oozing or not red or swollen or hot around the incision site it doesn t sound infected but deffo get it checked out.
One sign of an internal infection is the presence of fever. If nothing looks infected try washing the area and changing the dressing. However leaking and bad smell are not necessarily the signs of infection of a c section incision.
I had a c section on october 21st. C section incision healing usually produce extra skin hanging around the wound. People who give birth by cesarean delivery or c section may have an infection during the healing process.
But if you see something that looks and smells wrong call your doctor to get it cleared up fast. Just clean it with warm wster water that has been boiled and left to cool and pat dry after cleaning. Patients may also develop a discharge from the wound that may be particularly foul smelling.
Prevention involves washing the wound. Basically smells coming from your c section incision aren t normal. It could be a yeast infection or fungus.
