C Section Nerve Damage
This is called nerve damage.
C section nerve damage. When having a section they have to cut muscle and sometimes they do hit nerves. Ilioinguinal nerve iliohypogastric nerve. Physical therapy is another.
The key is with all of the incisions severing of the body all of the nerves are also cut. All i can tell you is that i see several women a month with this problem. I know exactly how you feel about no sensation.
Many women who had c sections reported that they are numb from their belly button to the top of their scar. When injured nerves do not heal correctly it is considered to be nerve damage. In some cases the nerve damage can affect a large part of your body.
That said long term nerve injury after a c section tends to be somewhat rare. In the grand scheme of c section complications i know it s not much. As with other surgical procedures it is virtually impossible to perform a c section without cutting into some nerves.
In other cases it only affects a small area. Nerve damage after a c section may improve in the months following delivery in which case your doctor can recommend a corticosteroid injection to relieve pain. It might only last for a short time or it might last the rest of your life.
In this study the diagnostic triad of ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerve entrapment after operation was defined as 1 typical burning or lancinating pain near the incision that radiates to the area supplied by the nerve 2. I too have had a c section and have nerve damage and being a surgical tech i have learned there is nothing that can be done about it. Today s post will focus on that one type of pain which typically means pain from one or all of these three nerves in the belly wall.
